More news from the O'Brien Family

The birth of Zachary Lee Huddleston is not the only news in the O’Brien Family. Joyce Graham O’Brien (widow of Uncle Joe and Aunt Dot’s son Seth Michael “Mickey” O’Brien) gave us a health update on her daughter Belinda Joyce "Lindy" O'Brien Mastin. Lindy had a nasty fall while attending the memorial service of her Aunt Josephine “Josie” Pierson O’Brien Rountree on 13 October 2009. She broke her knee badly. Joyce reports that Lindy’s knee has healed, and she is continuing rehab!

One of the positive things from this experience is that we have had lots of visits with Tana, Scott, and their children [Josie Rountree’s children and grands]. We had dinner with them on Thursday night and enjoyed it so much. They are all doing well. They are big New Orleans Saints fans and are excited about the Saints playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Joyce also had some great news about her great-niece Jaden Ashley Rountree! She is planning to attend college at Huntingdon next year, and she will be playing soccer there. She is coming to Montgomery next weekend to meet with the coaches and other soccer players. Scott really wants her to get to know the Montgomery/Wetumpka relatives while she is in school at Huntingdon.

Jaden is the daughter of Jeffrey Scott and June Henderson Rountree, granddaughter of Josephine Pierson “Josie” O’Brien Rountree and great-granddaughter of Joseph Nathaniel and Dorothy Dixson Johnson O’Brien (Uncle “Joe” / Uncle “Peanut” and Aunt “Dot”). Good luck at Huntingdon, Jaden!

Thanks for sharing with us all, Joyce!
