Parley Phillip Johnson, Jr. sent word that one of the matriarchs of the extended Johnson family has passed away. Jane Shivers Poundstone, widow of Dave Johnson Poundstone, died on 4 July 2011. Dave was the son of Emmett Robert and May Johnson Poundstone and grandson of Dave (Great Uncle Dave, brother of Grandfather Seth Johnson) and Myrtle Stennett Johnson. April 26, 1917 - July 4, 2011

POUNDSTONE, Jane Shivers passed away July 4, 2011 at the age of 94 after a brief illness. Her Graveside Service will be Thursday, July 7th at 11:00am in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Monsignor Charles Troncale officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30am prior to the service at Southern Memorial. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dave Johnson Poundstone; son, Dave Johnson Poundstone, Jr.; parents, Orville & Marie Shivers; brother, Marc Shivers and sisters, Carolyn Mastin & Marie Farley. Jane is survived by her daughter, Cindy Poundstone; daughter-in-law, Terri Adcock Poundstone; sister-in-law, Myrtle Poundstone Ridolphi and numerous nieces, nephews & loved ones. Pallbearers will be Peter B. Mastin, John M. Mastin, William H. Mastin, Dave Johnson Poundstone, Dave Crimi, Marvin Trott & Emmett Poundstone. A special thanks to the caretakers and friends who lovingly made life fun for Jane. The country music video channel has lost its number one fan.
