On the October 6 I went in for a routine mammogram. They called and said they saw something on the results and that I needed a second one done. So on October 13 I had a second one and the radiologist was there to read it and told me there was a very small spot in the right breast and that I needed a needle biopsy done ASAP. On October 24, I had that procedure done. Dr. Karst partner met with me Wednesday, October 26, and went over the results. CANCER!! There is a cancer there so was sent for an MRI on October 28. (I am not a good MRI patient, that was awful). October 31 I met with Dr. Eaddy the surgeon who will operate. Date for that has not been set but hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday, November 8 or 9. The good report from him is that it can be done with a lumpectomy and should not be a problem (easy for him to say, it's not on him)...
I have an appointment at the Cancer center with Dr. Franklin, a radiologist on Thursday, November 3. The surgery will be scheduled according to what he says after studying everything and probably doing more test himself but Dr. Eaddy will perform the surgery.
Questions can probably be answered better by NEVA WILLIAMS as she remembers details better than I do.
Prayers are needed that all goes smoothly and no other problem occurs. I am encouraged but still very apprehensive. It is always easier to deal with things when it is someone else and not me.
